About Gaute Torsteinson Stongaland
Gaute took overthe farme early in the 1680 from his parents.He also took over the chirch farm Øvre Stongaland and used both fars. In 1708 he had bougth a ny "knappesekk" to the soldier he had to pay for in the Norwegian army. He wanted the rest of the farmers that should hold the soldier with aquipments and wanted them to share the costs. It was important now just before the war started.
