About Gaylord Wainwright Meadows, Jr.
G.W. "Doc" Meadows, age 73, of State Road 1158, Glenville, NC passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at a Highlands-Cashiers Hospital. He was born in Pine Bluff, AR, the son of the late Gaylord W. Meadows, Sr. and Nelle Finney Meadows. He was a Veteran of the US Army and was a structural designer. He was a loving father, grandfather, loved the outdoors, and was an avid story teller. He was a member of Hamburg Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Rene' Krasnokutsky of Sapphire, NC; two sons, Mark Randal Meadows and his wife, Debbie of Cashiers, NC and Timothy Scott Meadows and his wife, Marlena of Athens, GA; seven grandchildren, Blake, Haley, Naomi, Josiah, Lydia, and Abigail Meadows and Robert Krasnokatsky.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 23 at 2:30 PM at Hamburg Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Mark Meadows, Scott Meadows, Blake Meadows, Eric Shomaker, Kyle McKim and Jesse Franks will serve as pallbearers.
