Genevieve Phillips

According to the 1910 US Census, Genevieve was orphaned before the age of nine. She was living in Grover, Weld Co., Colorado with Charlotte (Lottie) Phillips, a single dressmaker, and Charlotte's mother Abby [Child] Phillips.

1920 Census - Crawfordsville, Linn Co., Oregon: Genevieve was living with her adoptive parents, Jasper and Charlotte [Phillips] Fruitt as well as Charlotte's mother, Abby [Child] Phillips.

1930 Census - Sweet Home, Linn Co., Oregon: Genevieve was married to Claire Alex Overton. Her adoptive mother, Charlotte [Phillips] Fruitt was also in residence.

1940 Census - Holley, Linn Co., Oregon: Claire and Genevieve [Phillips] Overton as well as Charlotte [Phillips] Fruitt.

In none of these records are there any further clues as to Genevieve's birth parents.
