About Genia Mutz
Deported in 1942 to Grünberg, where she was a typist with a group of other girls. In January 1945 she went on the Volary Death March which ended on 5 May 1945 in Volary. Most of her extended family had been exterminated in the war, including her parents and younger brother who was gassed at the age of 10.
In 1946 she found surviving family in Belgium and went to live there, where she married and had a daughter. She devoted to rest of her life to Wiedergutmachung and would work to ensure Jewish victims of the Holocaust received proper restitutions from the Germans.
