About George Henry BALDOCK

GEDCOM Note

George and Matilda moved to Wallabadah NSW in 1860 when their first child was 6 weeks old. George was a carrier. he selected 40 acres of land, known as Marble Hall and had an orchard. A land map of Wallabadah District shows George had his land in 1886. He and Matilda had 13 children and lived on their farm until Matilda died (27/12/1901). She is buried in Wallabadah Cemetery, but there is no headstone to mark her grave.
<p>George's house burned down in 1909. He then sold his property to W Cropper who in turn sold it to Alvin (Peter) and Stan Baldock. George then went to live in Queensland with his son Bert and boughta property near Jondaryan. On his death certificate George's occupation was listed as "Farmer." He died 13/08/1912 in Toowoomba General Hospital and is buried in Jondaryan there is no headstone.
