The marriage booking reads as follows: "Selkirk the 19th. of October 1734 This day Thomas Chisholm Surgeon in Selkirk & Agnes Bannatyne Daughter of the Deceast George Bannatyne in the parish of Yara gave up their names to be proclaimed in order to marriage William Chisholm, late of Broadlee Cautioner for the Bridegroom & George Bannantyne Tennant in the Craig for the Bride". • Possible he was maybe related to the William Bannatyne, Minister. of Yarrow who died at 1753? - Maybe a William was a his brother / or father (or uncle)? Assumption: How a first son of George's daughter Agnes - is William, maybe they gave to him a same this name in the memory of William, minister of Yarrow ?
