Agnes Bannatyne, here treated, married Thomas Chisholme, surgeon in Selkirk. The marriage was booked for proclamation on 19 October 1734, at Selkirk in Selkirkshire, Scotland. The marriage booking reads as follows: "Selkirk the 19th. of October 1734 This day Thomas Chisholm Surgeon in Selkirk & Agnes Bannatyne Daughter of the Deceast George Bannatyne in the parish of Yara gave up their names to be proclaimed in order to marriage William Chisholm, late of Broadlee Cautioner for the Bridegroom & George Bannantyne Tennant in the Craig for the Bride". Note: It cannot be regarded as being certain, but, since her father was already dead, George Bannatyne in the Craig, here mentioned may be her brother.
