George Cockburn, the second son, had sasine 27th November 1662 of the lands of Easter and Wester Piltoun, in the parish of Cramond, County Edinburgh. He was tutor of Ormiston, and a commissioner for the county. The annual rent out of the barony of Innerleith, in the parish of St. Cuthberts, was given to him by his uncle, William Touris or Towers, Sir George of Innerleith's youngest son.
