Sir George Darcy, 2nd Lord Darcy was the son of Sir Thomas Darcy, 1st Lord Darcy and Dowsabel Tempest.[1]

He married Dorothy Melton, daughter of Sir John Melton, circa 26 March 1511.[1]

He died on 28 September 1558.[1]

Career:

• He was invested as a Knight on 14 October 1513.[1]
• He held the office of Sheriff of Yorkshire from 1535 to 1536.[1]
• In 1548 he was restored in blood by Act of Parliament.[1]
• He succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Darcy [E., 1504] in 1548.[1]
