Capt George George Givens

Birth: Dec., 1740 Orange County Virginia, USA Death: Jan. 17, 1825 Lincoln County Kentucky, USA

The family plot originally located on Capt. George Givens' homestead was relocated to Buffalo Springs when the local airport had need of land to extend the runway. Joe Grimes, Givens descendant, worked for many years to get the graves moved. In the spring of 1985 the family gathered for a re-dedication service. It was my honor to be there.
