McGinty Perry - George Laymond McGinty, 79, of Greenwood Drive, Perry, died Wednesday, May 1, 1996 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, at the Living Faith Family Worship Center. Burial will follow in the Perry Memorial Gardens. A native of Tallapoosa County, Ala., he moved to Warner Robins 31 years ago from Mobile, Ala. He was a retired U.S. Navy World War II veteran and a 33 year retiree from Robins Air Force Base. He was an elder and member of Living Faith Family Worship Center, an ordained Deacon an Baptist Sunday School teacher. Survivors include his wife, Marion Shiver McGinty of Perry; a son [named]; a daughter [named]; a sister, Lois Poe of Opelika, Ala.; a brother, Bill McGinty of Naples, Fla. and four grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home tonight. Memorials may be made to the Living Faith Family Worship Center Building Program, 304 Lee Street, Perry, 31069. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
