About George Petrie, Mayor of Montrose, Scotland

NOT a son of William Petre, 2nd Baron Petre. Check birth date on the latter! Has no connection to the English Petres of Writtle, Essex.

NOT a son of Catherine Somerset, There is no relationship with the English PETRE family.

__________________
