About George Shipley, Sr
III. George Shipley3 of Robert2 _and Elizabeth (Stevens) Shipley, born September 20, 1726, according to the records of Christ Church of Queen Caroline Parish. He obtained a grant for eighteen hundred acres, called "Shipley's Adventure," in Howard County, where he made his home, and where he died about 1806, after being an invalid for many years.
His wife, whom he married in 1747, was Catherine Ogg of George Ogg. (C. P. 4651.)
She made her will April 12, 1803.
Children: Rosanna, 4 Catherine,< George, .Tr., 4 Duncan, 4 Frances, 4 Mary, 4 Elizabeth,4 t:arah,4 and Talbot.
