George Washington Parker

"George [son of Pamelia, daughter of John, son of Jonathan, son of Samuel II, son of Samuel I, son of Richard Mower] lived in Greene; farmer; Free Will Baptist; Republican; voice for singing, which he enjoyed so much, a strong tenor, m. 1st, Eliza Beals of Greene, 11 May 1856. She was the devoted mother of six children. d. 28 Nov. 1880, aged 44. m. 2nd, Mrs. Martha Jane Webster of Lewiston, dau. of Dea. Leander and Jerusha (Stevens) Patten of Greene, 14 Nov. 1885.

I. "Ann Eliza, b. 21 Aug. 1857, m. Austin Seabury of Greene, 14 May 1879, one dau. Lena; m. 2nd, Charles Pratt of Greene, and have Maud, Grace, Norton, John and Ann.

II. "Julia Alice, b. 25 Apr. 1859, m. 1st, David O. Libby of Greene, 7 Nov. 1878, m. 2d, Fred P. Spofford of Greene, 4 Dec. 1884, where they lived. He was a blacksmith, d. 1 Apr. 1915, aged 59.

III. "Horace Pullen, b. 26 Dec. 1862, d. 7 Jan. 1864;

IV. Fannie Lizzie, b. 24 Oct. 1864, m. Harry Getchell of Monmouth, Me., 19 Sept. 1885. R. R. Engineer. Live [circa 1923] in Somerville, Mass.

V. "Celia Bessie, b. 18 Jan. 1871, m. Frank C. Luck of Greene, 13 March 1897; two children: Russell and Julia.

VI. "George Carroll, b. 30 March 1873, m. Blanche Pinkham of Leeds, 31 Aug. 1895. Live [circa 1923] in Leeds. He and his sister Celia hold considerable prominence in musical matters, besides church work, singing with a very willing spirit on various other occasions.
