George Wolcott was the son of Alexander Wolcott and Mary Richards. He is listed in the Wolcott Genealogy by Chandler Wolcott, 1912, on pages 77 and 106. He married Thea Rowland on July 23, 1777. George and Thea had five children.

Representative to the CT General Assembly and had Rev. War service with brother Jeremiah. Moved to Saybrook, CT in 1804 where he was Collector of the Port.
