About Georges Max Teitler
Besides publishing my own trees of my four grandparents and that of my wife's four grandparents, my interest in Geni is largely in publishing the names of German Jews who lived in the State of Baden (roughly between Basle and Karlsruhe) who either emigrated before WW2 (some as early as in the 1850's) or who perished in the Holocaust. This enables generations today to re-establish a link to their ancestors because the generations inbetween perished or did not wish 'to look back' once thy left Germany. I have in my possession vey comprehensive lists of each village's Jewish population, have entered some 13'000 names in GENI and largely unpublished yet, all the 2'500 photographs of the large cemetery of Schmieheim were most Jews of Baden were buried, access to the lists published by the German Government of Holocaust victims and I am willing to assist anyone in his or her search in this respect. THIS HONORARY SERVICE IS NO LONGER BEING UNDERTAKEN FOR PERSONAL REASONS AND I AM NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO ASSIST IN THE RECONSTRUCTION OF FAMILY TREES. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME ANYMORE SEEKING ASSISTANCE.
Unfortunately, George passed away at the age of 79 on December 12, 2016 (79). His great work and service are truly appreciated by many.
