“Friends here learned yesterday of the death of Mrs. Frederick Lambourn, 90, widow of a one-time State Senator. Mrs. Lambourn, long-time resident of the Southland, who lived the last 14 years at Sunset Beach, died June 7 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Georgia Lambourn Isbell, 8812 S. DEATH TAKES PIONEER HERE

   " Services were held at Rose Hills Chapel Saturday, June 11, for Mrs. Fredrick Lambourn, nee Georgia A. Morrison, one of Los Angeles County's early pioneers. Mrs. Lambourn died Tuesday, June 7, 1949 at the home of her daughter, Georgia Lambourn Isbell, 6812 South Norwalk Blvd. Whittier, at the age of 90 years, 10 months. She was a native of Sagine, Texas.     She was the widow of the Hon. Fredrick Lambourn, at one time California State senator, and partner in the old Lambourn and Turner Grocery on Aliso St. Los Angeles. They were married in California on November 30, 1876 and were the parents of three children: Georgia M. Isbell and the late Francis and William Walker Lambourn. 

    For 35 years the family home was on South Norwalk Blvd. then Judson Road. For the past 14 years, Mrs. Lambourn had lived at Sunset Beach. She was active until her death."  Whittier News, Tuesday, June 13, 1949, p. 6

Information on Georgia's death certificate says she was buried at Rose Hills in Whittier (the mortuary was Graham and Isbell); however the cemetery office has no record of her burial. (3/7/2016)
