- 20/07/2004: Two men who were allegedly involved in Gerald's murder were refused bail in the Kokstad magistrate's court last week after the investigating officer testified that both men had been positively linked to the scene. "Accused Zitowbile Magashalala of Cedarville and Patrick Mabhande of Brooksnek will remain in police custody until a high court trial date is set. Magashalala admitted to killing Eacher while Mabhande said that it was a "revenge attack" because he had been convicted of robbing the Eacher home about three years ago."
