1180 The Count of Flanders and Vermandois, Philip, declared that
Gerard of Roden, following a sentence pronounced by six arbitrators appointed by the count, renounced the peáge he levied on the ships and nyets of the abbey of Blandin, in Ghent (Wauters, A., Chronological Table, II 601).
1180 Gerard of Roden, when leaving for Jerusalem, renounces, in favor of the abbey of Eenham, the right he had on the ships bringing wood to the monastery (Ibid, VII, 568).
1199 Gerard of Roden frees the abbey of Eenham from the tonlieu which he collected on the Scheldt in Roden (Ibid., VII 413).
1214 May 14 - Gerard, lord of Rhodes, and Hildegard, his wife, freed from tonlieu the 4 farms that the abbey of St. Bavon possessed in Brabant: llouthem, Vliderzele, Zwalme and Gienzele (Ibib., III, 405).
1214 August 26 The king of England orders the barons of the Exchequer to give two robes to Gerard of Rhodes the Younger and his companion, who would also be paid 10 silver marc (Ibid., III, 409).
9. 1216 March 9 The king of England informs his bailiffs and his followers that he granted a safe conduct, valid for 2 days, to those who would bring to Berchamsted different prisoners, including Ither of Rhodes, made by the barons (Ibid., III, 4+ ).
10 1216 March 24. John, king of England, gave a safe conduct to William of Louvain, brother of the duke of Louvain, and to his retinue, Walter Berthout and Rodolphe de Rodes (Ibid.,III,446).
