1730, Feb. 15—Mott, Gershom of Middletown Township, Monmouth Co., gentleman; will of. Part of plantation (not given to son James by deed) below Long bridge, bounded by Joseph Dorset, road from Middletown to Amboy, Thomas Kerney and Barren Bog. to be sold. Land at Barnegat. Son, John, heir at law. Negroes, Jack and his wife Jenny to be settled on part of son James' land, to pay yearly rent of one penny. To daughter, Huldah, negro girl Cate, given her by deed. Five children—William, Gershom, Asher, James and Huldah. Had given to son, James, land and island in Chingeres Bay and salt marsh at Conescunk. Executors—sons William, Gershom and James
