Gertrude Evelyn Doughty

Mrs. Gertrude Evelyn Doughty died last Thursday, Dec. 15, at 7:35 p.m. in her home in Ohio Township. She was 61.

    Born in Pennsylvania, Sept. 4, 1894, Mrs. Doughty was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses.

    Surviving are her husband, James Elmer Doughty, at home, Mrs. Evelyn Brucker, Mrs. Bernice Saucer, Mrs. Jessie Wallenberg and Mrs. Marian Justice, all of Ohio Township; Mrs. Dorothy Heffner, Mrs. Eula Mae Mattern and Mrs. Sarah Shreeve, all of East Liverpool; four sons, Earl Doughty, Ohio Township; Dale, Blen and Darrell, all at  home; her mother, Mrs. Sarah Bussard, Ohio Township; four sisters; Mrs. Mae Horm, Corsica, Pa.; Mrs. Lyda Clark, East Palestine, Ohio; Mrs. Pauline Dodds and Mrs Florence Doughty, Ohioville; two brothers Fred Bussard, Leetonia, Ohio, and Ashley Bussard, Ohio Township, and 22 grandchildren.

    Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Schwerha Funeral Home with Mr. Donald Devich officiating.  Interment was in Highland Cemetery, Ohio Township. Note: Daughter of Samuel Elmer Bussard and Sarah Elizabeth Snyder, wife of James Elmer Doughty
