Disputed origins

Peter Conrad. [1][2] was born about 1655 in Europe, probably Germany. He arrived in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania in 1734.[2] He died about 1736.[1]

His daughter, Isabella Conrad, married Hermanus Kuster, the son of Paulus and Gertrude Kuesters.

"This Hermanus Kuesters was baptized 8 March 1682 in the Reformed Church in Kaldenkirchen. He is believed to have come to America along with his parents around 1700. He married Isabella B. Conrad, the daughter of Peter Conrad, 1706. Hermanus and Johannes bought about 200 acres of land near Skippack, now in Montgomery County and Hermanus settled there about 1700. The Court of Record for 1703/4 in Germantown fined Hermanus 10 shillings for not appearing for jury duty. He was impaneled on a jury in the same court 13, 4th month, 1704. In 1702 the Skippack Mennonite settlement began in the present Perkiomen Township of Montgomery County and Herman Kuster was reported to be one of the pioneers of the settlement..."
