Gianna Perea Labia was an Italian opera singer (soprano) and vocal pedagogue.
She received her singing lessons in her parents' house mostly through her mother and made her debut in Vicenza in 1934 in Adriano Lualdi's Le furie di Arlecchino . She appeared in many important opera houses in Italy, including La Fenice , Teatro alla Scala and the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma , 1938 as "Nanetta" in Verdi's Falstaff in Salzburg. Her major roles included Elvira (in L'italiana in Algeri ), Nannetta, Susanna , Fiordiligi , Philine in Mignon , Olympia , Leila, Lakmé , Lucieta inI quatro rusteghi ( the four ruffians ) and the roles of "Gasparina" and "Gnese" in II campiello by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari .
She produced two professional singing courses for television: Elementi di musica e canto corale (1959) and Musica e canto corale (1961). In addition, she taught at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
