Gladys J. Prink, age 98, of Hastings, and formerly of Cannon Falls, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, Dec. 31, at Augustana Health Care Center in Hastings.

Gladys was born March 27, 1915, in Fosston, Minn. to John and Julia (Knudtson) Iverson. At a young age, she moved to Cannon Falls, where she met and married Marvin Prink. It was there that her life began as a busy and productive wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, and traveling. She will mostly be remembered for her love of family, and a gracious hostess to all who came to visit. She enjoyed her many years as a member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, and was active in the Altar Guild, Mary Circle, where she served as a treasurer, and baked lefse for the Church Bazaar well into her nineties.

She is survived by her children, Karen Quam (Peter) of Shell Lake, Wis., Joan Boos of Bend, Ore., Sandra Hall (David) of Madison, Wis., and Steve Prink (Julie) of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren, William Boos, Rebecca Martin, Jason Hall, Jeremy Hall, Jill Vannoy, and Adam Prink; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marion "Dolly" Crane of Hastings; sisters-in-law, Lavonne Iverson of Hastings, Gene Ann Johnson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Shirley Prink of Cannon Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Marvin; son, Larry; grandchildren, Erika Quam, and Caroline Gates; four brothers, Ken, Joel, Marvin, and Harold Iverson; and five sisters, Alma Piechowski, Agnes Pagel, Myrtle Iverson, Bella Fredrickson, and Thelma Iverson.
