About Glenn B. Nicodemus

Glenn B. Nicodemus, 84, of Elkhart, died at 12:40 a.m. (December 31, 2011) at East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 7, 1927, in South Bend, Indiana to Deo Brant & Lenna Marie McVety Lesher Nicodemus.

Surviving are three sons, Shawn (Deborah) Nicodemus, Shannon Nicodemus both of Elkhart, Stacy (Dina) Nicodemus of South Bend, seven daughters, Tracy Nicodemus, Theresa (Dan) Breen and Teressa (Brian) Ledbetter all of South Bend, Tara Wallin of Normal, Illinois, Amanda (Scott) Guerrera of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Samantha Nicodemus of Chicago and Robin (Arutro) Nicodemus of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Heather Nicodemus, Shane, Mitchell and Conner Wallin, Morgan, Megan and Melissa Norberg, Daniel and Jack Breen, Emma and Lillian Ledbetter, Jeremy (Tieriney) Mock and Noah Guerrera, 4 great-grandchildren, Hayley, Bradley, Blake & Brooke. Preceding in death is one son, Shane Nicodemus and one grandson Seth Easterday.

Glenn was a member of the Friends of Bill W. Fellowship for 38 years and a member of the Spoonpluggers fishing group for 5 years. He was a lead stock car mechanic for Ford's winning vehicle in 1964. Glenn was one of seventeen children born to Deo & Lenna Nicodemus. Glenn served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947. He was employed as a mechanic for many years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care they gave to Glenn. There will be a Memorial Service planned in May for Glenn. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to any non-profit 12 step program of your choice.
