Gloria Johnson Feickert died Dec 15 2011, at Mille Lacs Hospital, Onamia, Minnesota. Burial at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Gloria was born June 24, 1926, in Hunter, to Mr and Mrs Anton Johnson. The family moved to Mandan in 1928 and Gloria graduated from Mandan High School.
She married Robert Feickert on Oct 2, 1946. Gloria was employed by the Bismarck Tribune from 1963 until her retirement in 1985. She previously worked for the Mandan Daily Pioneer for 12 years.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Mandan, Mandan Hospital Volunteers, past president of the Mandan American Legion Auxiliary, charter member of the Bismarck-Mandan Sweet Adelines and sang in a barbershop quartet called the CapitalSound. She and her late husband helped organize the Coronary Therapy Group at MedCenter One in Bismarck. In 2005, Gloria moved to Onamia, Minnesota.
She is survived by her son Dan, Grand Forks; her nephew, Brock Holbert, Onamia, Minn. and her sister Muriel Johnson Paul, Fort Worth, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, in 1992; her parents; and her sister Bernice Johnson Holbert.
