She was a lifelong Kanawha County resident, a member of Pond Gap Advent Christian Church and a homemaker.

Surviving: sons, Floyd, Victor, Gaylon and Allen, all of Cedar Grove, Hylton of Pond Gap, George of Whitesville, Damon, Willard and Dennis, all of Cleveland, Ohio; daughters, Ethel Shaffer of Hollywood, Fla., Helen Brown of Spencer, Ohio; 37 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
