About Gonzalo Puyat
Gonzalo Puyat left his home in Guagua with his wife in 1906 for a better life in Manila. He founded the "House of Puyat", which became one of the larges furniture manufacturers of the time. The company eventually expanded to include billiard tables and bowling lanes. Considered one of the first Filipino industrialists, he founded "Gonzalo Puyat and Sons" which diversified the family's holdings to include flour, lumber, vinyl and steel.
