Gordon Lichtenberg

Gordon "Red" Lichtenberg, age 84, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, in Gulfport.

Gordon was born in Alta, Iowa and retired in 1996 in Biloxi after 21 years in the U. S. Air Force.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and loved wood working.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Edna Lichtenberg; his daughter, Lillian Edwards; two brothers, Donavan and Lowell Lichtenberg; and sister-in-law, Dianne Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lichtenberg; son, Benjamin Lichtenberg; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Wanda Lichtenberg and Sue Wood; and brothers-in-law, Ben Wood and Glenn Thompson. In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 2521 Pass Road, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
