Gr Rab Yerachmiel Israel Dancyger [2nd Aleksanderer Rebbe]

Grand Rabbi Yerachmiel Yisroel Yitzchok Danziger (1853-1910), author of Yismach Yisroel, son of Rabbi Yechiel - was 2nd Rebbe of Aleksander.

He was even more famous than his father, and accumulated a large group of followers. He was the author of Yismach Yisrael (Hebrew: "Be Joyful, Israel" 1911), which he wrote together with his brother, Shmuel Tsvi (1840-1923), who later succeeded him and authored the Tiferes Shmuel. The teachings of the rebbes who followed stressed ethics, mysticism and ecstatic religious forms, putting less emphasis on studying the Talmud. The followers of the rebbes from Aleksander were primarily merchants and artisans, especially from Warsaw, and also in Łódź, where there were approximately 35 houses of prayer. There were also shtiblekh in numerous other towns, including Belchatow, Opoczno, Piotrkow and more.

רבי יחיאל דנציגר נפטר בי"ד בשבט ה'תרנ"ד (1894), ובמקומו כיהן בנו הגדול רבי ירחמיאל ישראל יצחק דנציגר. רבי ירחמיאל נולד בתרי"ג ונפטר בער"ח בשבט ה'תר"ע (1910), ודברי תורתו נדפסו בספרו "ישמח ישראל". היה חתן משפחת גורמן מפולטוסק. אחרי הפטירה התפלגה החסידות. רוב החסידים נהו אחרי אחיו, רבי שמואל צבי דנציגר. הוא נפטר בא' בחשון ה'תרפ"ד (1924), ודברי תורתו נדפסו בספרו "תפארת שמואל".

 חלק אחר של החסידים פרשו מהחסידות והקימו את חסידות סטריקוב בראשותו של רבי אהרן צבי לנדא, בנו של האדמו"ר האחרון מוורקא, רבי דב בעריש מביאלה.

במקביל לפילוג כיהן גם רבי בצלאל יאיר דנציגר, אחיו של רבי שמואל צבי, כאדמו"ר בעיר לודז'

לאחר פטירת רבי יחיאל בי"ד בשבט ה'תרנ"ד (1894), כיהן במקומו בנו הגדול רבי ירחמיאל ישראל יצחק דנציגר. רבי ירחמיאל נפטר בכ"ט בטבת ה'תר"ע (1910), ודברי תורתו נדפסו בספרו "ישמח ישראל".
