Mrs.Grace E.Hight, 91,president of the Hight State bank at Dalton City died in her home in Dalton City at 9:35 am today. Although she retired Jan. 1, 1947, she still took an active part in the management of the bank and attended all board meeting. She had been ill only a few days before her death.

Mrs.Hight entered the banking business in 1893 when her husband Charles A.Hight,cashier in the Dalton City bank,broke his arm and needed help. Mrs.Hights father, David P.Keller was president of the Dalton City bank. After the death of her father and the death of Mr.Hight in 1911 Mrs. Hight and her mother Mrs.Rebecca M.Keller inherited the Dalton City bank.

The bank was organized into the Hight State bank and opened for business Jan.1,1918 with Mrs.Hight as president. During her long banking career Mrs. Hight gained a wide reputation for her business ability and judgement. She was probably one of the oldest women bank presidents both in age and years of service in the world.

Mrs.High was born in Lancaster,Ohio, Sept, 19, 1860 a daughter of David P. and Rebecca M.Keller. She was married to Charles A.Hight in Macon March 13,1884. She was a member of the Macon Methodist church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She leavesa daughter,Lenabel Hight and a son Clarence Hight, both of Dalton City and two grandchildren.One great grandchild also survives.

Services will be at 2:30 pm Thursday in Brintlingers funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 pm tomorrow. Burial will be in Macon cemetey.
