    'Von' preffix and 'Graf' title was added to Curdt Ketels name after marriage to the Austrian daughter of Konrad 'Von' Montfort. • (Montfort, Bregenz incorporated into the duchy of Austria in 1451.) This is also when the Ketel childrens names take on a Germanic flair. At the same time 'Ketels Grove' becomes 'Ketelshagen'

Curdt is the father of Curdt II and Berthold of Rugen Island, part of Denmark at the time. This family is not part of the Kettler line of Westphalia. Curths Grandfather is Chancillor Bishop Asulf Ketilsson, Bishop Ketill is mentioned in ceremony on Dec. 5 1305.with Bishop Erland Installing Canon Arne Sigurdsson as Bishop of Bergen, King Hakon V and Euphemia of Rugen present. King Hakon of Rugen proclaims he has taken the dowry of his Queen Euphemia of Rugen from Vitzlav, Prince of Rugen. Ketill Havardsson, Curths Great Grandfather was appointed as Chancillor to Prince of Rugen, Jaromar the II.  *(From Wikipedia: "The Archbishop of the Monarch Chancellor Ketill was enthralled, and the peasants aroused against Christopher and his vassals, so that they devastated their castles and estates") This line goes back to  The Wends, Swedish Pomerania, as well as to Burislav Von Rugen through Curths mother Ragnhild Ogmundarsdatter explaining why Curths family is said to have had holdings in Anklam Sweden. Anklam was "The Wends" in western Pomerania, Sweden. Curths Fathers line goes all the way back through Helgi Bjornarson Bunu, Brother of Ketil Flatnose(Bunu is a nickname that means 'Hard worker') I will put up more generations later.
