Grant Young Nuebel, age 60 years, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Slidell, LA. He was born in New Orleans, LA on November 8, 1955. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School in New Orleans and attended Delgado Community College for Automotive Mechanics. He was the former owner and operator of Firestone Automotive on Carrollton Ave. in New Orleans and retired as a Service Manager in the automotive industry. He was a former resident of Lawrenceville, GA. Beloved father of Jennifer Lynn Nuebel. Former husband of the late Linda Sue McLane. Step-father of Katherine Lindsey. Son of the late Lillian Young Nuebel and Leo Paul Nuebel. Brother of Scott Nuebel (Kathleen), Douglas Nuebel (Connie), Brian Nuebel (Lynn) and the late Nancy Nuebel Modica and her late husband Salvador Modica. Uncle of Burt Blancher (Patricia), Leslie Boyce (Graham), Christopher Nuebel (Jacqueline), Katie Guasco (Robert), Elizabeth Perry (Kathryn), Ryan, Bradley, Lyndsey, and Jacob Nuebel, Blake (Krissi), Luke, Trey, Adam, Amy, and Jack Blancher, Carley and Garrett Boyce, and Grace and Max Guasco. Godfather of Christopher Nuebel and Rachel Barbin. Also survived by his dear friends Sheila Leblanc, Ray Kaufmann, Sr., and their son, Ray Kaufmann, Jr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Rev. H.L. Brignac, a dear friend of the Nuebel family, to officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
