- "LAWRENCE, L. I., Nov. 25— Grant Van Sant, retired executive vice president of the Security National Bank of Long Island, died Thursday of a cerebral hemorrhage at his home here. He was 63 years old.
- "Mr. Van Sant had also served the Valley National Bank and the Long Island Trust Company and had been chair man of the Long Island Bankers Association. He was credited with establishing the Nassau County Clearing House.
- "A 1932 graduate of Williams College, Mr. Van Sant served in the Army in Europe in World War II. He was a member of the Holland Society of New York.
- "A son, Grant 3d; a daughter, Mrs. John Ward, and six grand children survive."
