Greeta Paulson, 89, of Moline, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2001, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., 1216 5th Ave., Moline. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Greeta was born Nov. 5, 1911, in Monroe County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Minta Frazier Kline. She married Thure Paulson in 1948 in Galesburg. He preceded her in death June 2, 1991.

Greeta was a crossing guard for the City of Moline and an appliance demonstrator. She enjoyed her family, gardening and the outdoors.

Survivors (and spouses) are a son, Glenn (Beverly) Martin, Ottumwa, Iowa; daughters, Marlene Silvers, East Moline, Marilee (Mark) Handlon and Janett (Tom) Upton, Moline, and Thurese Paulson, Minneapolis, Minn.; sister-in-law, Elaine (Lew) Pearson, Iowa; brother, Anton Paulson, Colorado; grandchildren, Tom Martin, Jerry Martin, Robyn Buttram, Rene Covents, David Abrahamsen, Dale Abrahamsen, Robert Abrahamsen, Don Silvers, Rick Mattson, Russ Mattson, Randy Mattson, Rod Mattson, Rhonda Williams, Tom Upton, Jennifer Upton and Dean Paulson; and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
