I have long forgotten my maternal grandfather's first name but I do recall that he was popularly referred to as "Guard" Pinto based on the coveted position held by him in the G.I..P. Railways.
-Norman Mendens, grandson

Could somebody please correct the spelling of Lilly to read L I L Y. Also the correct order in terms of seniority would be Gilbert, Hilda, Lily, Edith and Walter. {geni:comment} Walter Pinto married Ninette Summers and they had 2 sons - Gordon and Michael both of whom. I believe, are somewhere in Australia. Gilbert married Irene,.daughter of Isidore Coelho (widely known for his cookery books "CHEF" and its Konkani version "RANDPI") Gilbert & Irene had a few children, the eldest I think was named Roland.
