Morandière quotes (in translation) a charter dated 1231 under which "Jehan d’Estouteville" donated property to Valmont, for the souls of "Henri mon père et de Mathilde ma mère…et de Agnès mon épouse et de Robert mon frère", witnessed by "Raoul d’Estouteville miles…", but does not cite the corresponding primary source[356]. “Johannes de Estotevilla miles dominus de Boscheto et Agnes uxor mea” renounced rights over the priory of Lancé in favour of Marmoutier, with the consent of “Robertus primogenitus noster, Radulphus et Astulphus filii mei”, by charter dated 1249[357].

m AGNES de Châteaudun, daughter of GEOFFROY [V] Vicomte de Châteaudun & his first wife Adela de Nevers (-19 Jul after 1271). Jean [I] & his wife had five children:

a) ROBERT [V] d’Estouteville (-after 1282 [maybe killed in battle Courtrai 11 Jul 1302]). “Johannes de Estotevilla miles dominus de Boscheto et Agnes uxor mea” renounced rights over the priory of Lancé in favour of Marmoutier, with the consent of “Robertus primogenitus noster, Radulphus et Astulphus filii mei”, by charter dated 1249[361]. Morandière quotes (in translation) a charter dated Jun 1272 under which "Agnes [d%E2%80%99Estouteville] au temps de mon veuvage" donated property to Valmont, with the consent of "domini Roberti, domini Willelmi, et domini Estoldi, et Magistri Johannis de Estoutevilla canonici Rothomagensis, filiorum meorum", but does not cite the corresponding primary source[362]. [The Chronique Artésienne records “mesires d’Estoutevile” among those killed at the battle of Courtrai 11 Jul 1302[363]. It is not certain to whom this entry refers, possibly Robert [V] given that his son Robert [VI] is named after 1302.] m ALIX Bertrand, daughter of [ROBERT [V] Bertrand Baron de Briquebecq & his wife Alix de Tancarville. Père Anselme records her parentage (calling her mother “Alix de Néelle”) and marriage without citing any source on which this information is based[364]. Assuming her family origin is correct, the chronology suggests that she was the daughter of Robert [V] Bertrand. Robert [V] & his wife had children: i) ROBERT [VI] d’Estouteville (-after 1330). Seigneur d’Estouteville et de Vallemont. - see below. ii) ESTOUT d’Estouteville (-after 1316). Seigneur de Torcy. Morandière records that he was named in registers dated 1302, 1303 (La Chambre des Comptes) and 1316 (Archbishopric of Rouen)[365]. m ALIX de Meulan, daughter of [AMAURY [V] de Meulan Seigneur de la Queue-en-Brie & his wife ---] (-after 1327). Père Anselme records her marriage, saying that Alix was the daughter of Amaury [III] de Meulan and his wife Marguerite de Neufbourg[366]. That suggestion appears unlikely to be correct, considering the chronology of the Estouteville family. Maybe Alix was the daughter of Amaury [IV]. Morandière records that Alix was still living in 1327 (no source cited)[367]. - SEIGNEURS de TORCY[368].

b) RAOUL d’Estouteville (-after 1249). “Johannes de Estotevilla miles dominus de Boscheto et Agnes uxor mea” renounced rights over the priory of Lancé in favour of Marmoutier, with the consent of “Robertus primogenitus noster, Radulphus et Astulphus filii mei”, by charter dated 1249[369].

c) ESTOUT d’Estouteville . “Johannes de Estotevilla miles dominus de Boscheto et Agnes uxor mea” renounced rights over the priory of Lancé in favour of Marmoutier, with the consent of “Robertus primogenitus noster, Radulphus et Astulphus filii mei”, by charter dated 1249[370].
