Gunnar Viland (Osmundsen)

When Gundar Larsen Viland was born in 1825 in Viland, Hordaland, Norway, his father, Lars, was 43 and his mother, Britha, was 31. He married Eli Olsdatter Haraldstveit and they had six children together. Their son Ole Gundarson Rogenes was my grandfather. He then married Anna Larsdatter and they had six children together. He died in 1874 at the age of 49. Gunder is listed as a freeholder in 1865. He gave birth to 1 horse, 6 cows, 25 sheep and 6 goats. In 1865, he sowed 2 1/2 barrels of grain and an equal amount of potatoes. In 1875 he had hoarse, 5 cows, calf, 16 sheep, 5 goats and 1 pig. Then he sowed 3 barrels of oats and 3 1/2 barrels of potatoes.
