Gustav lived in Weissenburger Strasse 38 in Aschaffenburg, then studied law in Wurzburg, Frankfurt and Munich (1931). In 1933 he moved to Paris, and in 1935 to Lyon. He served a short time in the Foreign Legion, North African (Sidi-bel Abes, Algeria). During his studies Gustav was a member of the Jewish Student club Wirzburgia. He was also a member of the Alpine club and climbed by foot to the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany. After completing his studies, Gustav worked in the Court of Justice in Munich. During WWII Gustav left Germany and continued his studies in the University of Paris.
After WWII, Gustav returned to Germany, settled in Saarbrucken (1947) and served as a judge in nearby SaarLouis. Gustav is buried within the Weber (his wife) memorial site in SaarBrucken.
