About Guy Finch
Guy immigrated from England on the ship Dover, arriving in Maryland on March 17 1647. On July 11 1681 he purchased 100 acres called Goodwill. On Oct 15 1684 he bought an additional 118 acres called Woodbridge. Both tracts were located in Calvert County Maryland, a few miles south of the town of Upper Marlboro. In 1696 his landed was incorporated into what then became Prince Georges County.
Guy made Woodbridge the home plantation of he and his wife Rebecca. Guy cleared and fenced in 10 acres of land. where he built a 25 by 15 foot home, a 30 foot tobacco house and a 10 foot milk house. Guy also planted 10 peach trees and 7 apple trees.
Guy owned the Goodwill Plantation as well which he purchased in 1681
