REMARKS: In Wales till the middle of the 12th century individuals were styled 'Brenin' meaning chief or high one, and 'Arglwydd' meaning lord or master. In this instance Arglwydd of Morgannwg is more appropiate.

KINSHIP: Lloyd's 'History of the Princes, the Lords Marcher and the Ancient Nobility of Powys Fadog' volume 2 page 323 calls him Gwrgant ap Ithel ap Owain, King of Morganwg.
