Carei Count Gyorgy Karolyi ( Budapest , 1946 . November 2 -) a high count Károlyi family members. His grandfather was József Károlyi , his father was István Károlyi (1919–2009); his mother is Katalin Pólya , the daughter of painter Tibor Pólya .
At a young age he moved to the West with his parents. He lived the first half of his life in France. He studied economics, political science and law, and worked in administration, consulting and management in the private sector. After the change of regime, he returned to Hungary and set about rescuing the castle of Fehérvárcsurgó , once owned by his family : he established a cultural center with a European vocation. The reconstruction of the castle was completed in 2011. In 2015, he was appointed Ambassador of Hungary to France.
