Haim Yaari

Chaim Yaari (January 13, 1915 – July 18, 1986) was a paratrooper of the "Yishuv" (the Jewish citizens of British Mandate of Palestine) during World War II. After the war, he was active in the Institute for Illegal Immigration (Mossad le-Alija Bet) and in the Shai (Information Service of the Hagana). With the establishment of the State of Israel, he was the commander of a unit of the IDF's Intelligence Department designated for special operations in enemy countries. Later he was responsible for the coordination of Israel's different intelligence agencies.
With the establishment of the "Institute for Intelligence Service and Special Tasks" (ha-Mosad le-Modi'in u-le-Tafkidim Mejuhadim), short: Mossad, Yaari served as one of its senior commanders.

חיים יערי (13 בינואר 1915 – 18 ביולי 1986) היה מצנחני היישוב במלחמת העולם השנייה. לאחר המלחמה היה פעיל במוסד לעלייה ב' ובש"י. עם הקמת מדינת ישראל היה למפקד יחידה של מחלקת המודיעין (ממ"נ ) של צה"ל אשר יועדה למבצעים מיוחדים בארצות האויב ובהמשך היה אחראי על תיאום גופי המודיעין והביון של ישראל. עם הקמת המוסד למודיעין ולתפקידים מיוחדים היה לאחד מראשיו.
