Hajjah Wan Safiah Haji Mohd Zain

Hajjah Wan Safiah was the FIRST wife to Haji Said bin Jamaluddin. She was very much older when she married Haji Said, it was said that their age gap was more that ten years apart. Her earlier marriages never bore her any children as they had died after birth. Hence, when she managed to have two children with Haji Said, due to her age, she asked for a divorce from from Haji Said so that he could marry younger women and not become a hindrance to his future that was to expand the teaching of Tariqat Ahmadiyah. She raised her two children in Kelantan until her passing, whence, her two children followed their father to Negeri Sembilan.

It was said that Haji Said fell in love with her when he heard her melodious and beautiful voice reading the quran. This was narated by the late Datuk Hj Idris Hj Ibrahim, her grandson. (by Zakhair Idris)
