About Halvor Gunnarsson Vesti- Gåthaug
Wikitree: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gaathaug-3.
After the death of their father in 1725, Halvor and Lars decided to split Gaathaug into two separate farms: while Lars took over the eastern part of the farm, Ostri-Gaathaug, Halvor took over the western part, Vesti-Gaathaug. Parts of both farms, however, were still owned by others, Tollef Sigurdssen Holte and Erik Halvorssen Norum. In 1728, though, Tollef and Erik sold their shares in Gaathaug and the summer farm to Halvor and Lars for 166 silver pieces.[1]

Halvor was shown in 1715 at the skjøte 3 Mael in Gåthaug of Halvor Nilsson et al 16 dlr. and in 1733 6 3/4 set. Olav Jonsson 58 dlr. As Bjornson sold in 1753 in tn. 3 sets. 125 dlr. and in 1759 set 5. (Pb. - 118) 41 dlr. to stesonen.
Skøyte is "nynorsk" for skjøte (deed), and is still spelled that way in nynorsk . This is clearly about the sale of something, maybe a farm with all on it (in it) = buet. Can also be just a house, With or withot all in it. In Norway, when somebody dies, what they leave behind is "boet" or in "nynorsk" buet. Called the same when someone goes bankrupt. "Buet" or boet is sold, and if it involves property, you need a skøyte (deed). Maybe this particular property was sold to the step-son (steson, also nynorsk)
