OBITUARY Iron River Reporter March 17 1931 “Iron River Woman, Ill Two Years, Dies at Her Home Sunday”
Ill for more than two years, Mrs. Hannah Gustafson, 124 Maple street, died at her home in Iron River Sunday evening at 10:20 o’clock. She was the wife of Jacob Gustafson.
She was born in Finland on November 5, 1870, and was 61 years of age. She had made her home in Iron River for many years.
Eight children survive. They are Mrs. Signe Turpinen, Raymond Gustafson, Uno Viitala, Delia Viitala, and Rudolph Gustafson of Iron River, Edward of the state hospital, Mrs. Vernon Cole of Atchinson, Kas., and Mrs. Isaac Majamaki, Diorite. One sister, Mrs. Ann Pakola of Bruce’s Crossing, also survives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Finnish Lutheran church of Stambaugh in the charge of the Rev. Mr. Luoma of Crystal Falls. Burial will be in the Iron River Cemetery.
