After the death of her husband Jakob Limberg, Annie (Anna) Sophia Limberg neé Theron married Hendrik van der Westhuizen.

Of course there is a legitimate concern about her birthdate, although her age of 98 is recorded as such on her death certificate. We are sure that she was born somewhere between 1815 and and 1833, but that 1825 may be her probable date of birth. If so, Annie (Anna) Sophia was 43 years old when she married Hendrik v/d Westhuizen (and not 33) and 88 years old when she died.
She appears to have had two children from her first marriage to Limberg and at least another six from her second marriage to Hendrik van der Westhuizen during the years 1840 to 1866. Her death certificate states that she 11 children, some of whom may have died early..
Research indicates that Limberg may be from the Fish River area whereas Hendrik and his family stayed in Bosjesmanspoort before moving to Kimberley at some stage (possibly around 1871).
Hendrik's family was therefore one of the first who settled in Kimberley.
At least one Limberg off-spring stayed in Kimberley's Malay Camp.
