About Hannah Black

Hannah was the daughter of William M Evans and Sarah A Van Kirk. She completed her literary educcation in the Western High School of Baltimore. She came, with her parents, to Mills County, Iowa, in 1873.

Hannah was the second wife of Charles W Black, a widower with two young daughters. Charles, a veteran of the Civil War, and Hannah, were married 14 Jan 1875.
