Hannah was received by request of her parents to be a member of the Society of Friends (Quakers) at the Cane Creek Monthly Meeting, Orange County, North Carolina on August 4, 1781.

Married Thomas Braxtan on May 18, 1796 in Orange County, North Carolina.

Thomas, Hannah and children were granted a certificate to the White Water Quaker Monthly Meeting, Wayne County, Indiana from the Spring Monthly Meeting, Orange County, North Carolina on April 27, 1811. They then move and settled in Orange County, Indiana and were part of the establishment of Quaker Lick Creek Monthly Meeting on April 25, 1813.
