“Henry [Dyer], mariner, was at Portsm. 23 Mar. 1679-80, a wit. with Joshua Fryer 1681, master of the ketch 'Prosperous' 1684. Wife Hannah Riddan, dau. of Thaddeus, was a wid. taxed in Portsm. 1690, vict. lic. 1692, m. 2d 12 Oct. 1693 Augustine Bullard(1)."
"Augustine, Portsm., shipmaster, taxed 1690, retailer's lic. 1693. Lists 335a, 330d, 96. He m. 12 Oct. 1693 Hannah (Riddan), wid. of Henry Dyer(3). Will 24 Oct. 1706-8 Sep. 1709 gave his est. to his w. to bring up his son, except the real est. to his son Benj. and steps. Henry Dyer. 5 s. each to bros. Benj. and Jasper of Barbadoes. Wid. here in 1711. Ch: Benjamin, in 1729 was of Bridgetown, Barb., merchant."
On April 25, 1692, " Hannah Dyer of Portsmouth widdow & Relict of Henry Dyer (dec?)," quitclaimed to her brother, John Riddan,of Marble. head, for "fifty pounds in silver," all right in the estate of "my honoured ffather mr. Thadeos Riddan (dec?) . . . is in Marblehead." At the same time, her sisters, Mary Hoddy, of Portsmouth, "widow of John Hoddy decd," and Elizabeth Riddan quitclaimed their rights for the same amount, £50, each.*
